A couple of half baked pitches to start the year

This weekend’s post won’t be as long as those in December, simply because there hasn’t been a lot of news. Next week be on the lookout for someone related to the WBA potential buyout, as earnings are next….well they were Thursday now I’m not sure because we’re celebrating stagflation with the Jimmy Carter holiday.

The only other thing of note is how strong natural gas and natural gas related stocks have been. Friend of the stack, PurpleDrink Capital use to work in a tangential market to natural gas and he and I recorded a thing on YouTube discussing why the bullishness for NG isn’t just ‘AI AI AI DATA CENTER DATA CENTER DATA CENTER’. Its linked below. Sorry for the reverb on my voice. This was my first interview/talking to someone on stream and I screwed up the settings. It won’t happen again.

One point we mentioned in the conversation that I want to pull out for anyone who isn’t interested in watching us talk, is that Trump is likely going to roll back a lot of anti-LNG orders on day one. LNG related names should do okay into at least Jan 20th that as the backdrop. Its why one of my half-baked pitches below are an OIH servicer.

Because of the short week I've spent some time on some smaller names in spaces I think will do okay/well in 2025. Ones that I’m not sure are ready for big deep write ups but should be on your radar. Especially if you’re looking for more upside beta exposure to stuff like staples and energy. Especially staples, as that rarely has any high beta names.

On last thing, I will be putting together a list of absolute garbage robot related names early next week if they continue to do well. I still think we’re going to get a rally until at least the 15th, so if Robots are what are going to lead us up I don’t want to be left behind. No matter how stupid it is.
